A few years ago, our school searched long and hard for a suitable resource with which to replace our then PE programme. After a lot of research I stumbled upon PE Primary, and was immediately struck by the content, depth and coherent structure of the programme. As a PE main of many years ago, it was plain to me that the lesson plans were excellent, and that they would be easily accessible to non specialists. The wide range of lessons within each area of activity also lends itself well to mixed aged classes, without repeats. Finally, it’s not a stagnant resource- it’s grown over the years and now includes video clips and other resources too. We’ll be using it for the foreseeable future, and I am happy to recommend it.

As a school we have subscribed to the PE primary website for a number of years. As a class teacher I find the planning sections really useful, using the ideas as a basis for my PE lessons, a subject I don't feel that confident in. I find it gives a range of different games to play as warm ups and cool downs so there is more varitey to my lessons. I like how the plans are organsied into skills then the main activity. Using the site has definitely improved my PE teaching!
